Affiliate Marketing
Victory
First and foremost, reputation counts in affiliate marketing. There are thousands of affiliate marketers out there but the ones who make the big bucks are the ones who have established high visibility and great credibility for themselves.
Establishing credibility and visibility go hand in hand and establishing both are critical to your success and your victory over your competitors.
Credibility and visibility are established in several ways. Two of the most important ways of establishing credibility and visibility are by writing and marketing articles and E-Books that relate to the products and services that you sell. You must establish yourself as an expert…a guru, if you will.
Daily Battles and Minor Skirmishes
Winning the affiliate marketing wars means winning the small daily battles and minor skirmishes one at a time and winning them decisively.
You want to become one of those super affiliates. You want to become one of those big earners that make an annual income that has more than one comma in that number on the bottom line, right?
Then you need to be prepared to work hard. You need to be prepared to do more than what is required. You need to be prepared to go that extra mile.
3 Ways to Get Lots of Traffic to Your Affiliate Sites
Affiliate sites come in all shapes and sizes, but they all have one thing in common – the need for traffic! Once you’ve built an affiliate site, you need to get traffic to the site in order to make money. Without visitors, there will be no chance for buyers to click on your links. Next to choosing your niche and affiliate product, getting traffic is the most important part of affiliate marketing. Fortunately, there are several different methods for getting traffic to your site.
Traffic is defined as visitors coming to your website. Not all visitors that come to your website will click through to the affiliate offer and not all of them that click through to the offer will buy. For this reason, you’ll need to bring a lot of visitors to your website in order to convert sales.
One of the most tried and true methods of building traffic is through article marketing. Article marketing takes place when you submit short articles to directories. These articles include a backlink to your affiliate website. Article marketing builds traffic in two specific ways.
The articles that you distribute will have a link back to your site, which will notify the search engines that your site has information about a specific topic. The article will also bring you traffic from people manually clicking on the link in your article. When you place your article in the article directory, it is available for publication by other webmasters. This means that the link to your website will be distributed all over the Internet. To get started with article marketing you just need to select your keywords, write your article and submit it to popular directories like Ezinearticles.com.
In addition to article marketing, you can also use pay per click marketing. With this form of traffic building you will select keywords based on your website’s topic. You’ll write a short ad and then bid on your keywords. Your ads will appear in the advertising section of a search engine and you’ll only pay when someone clicks on your ad. If you find the right keywords and can write an attractive ad, pay per click marketing can bring instant traffic to your website for a minimum of cost. To get started with pay per click marketing you can join the Google Adwords program for free.
Finally, you can get an influx of traffic from social bookmarking sites. These sites will give you a backlink from a high traffic site which will help your site get noticed by the search engines. You’ll also get a traffic boost from within the social bookmarking site. You can submit your site to a variety of different social bookmarking sites like StumbleUpon.com, Propeller.com and Reddit.com. There are dozens of others social bookmarking sites that you can use to build backlink traffic to your affiliate page.
These three ideas to get traffic are just a few of the ways that you can build an influx of visitors to your site and your affiliate link.
The Affiliate Warrior
Affiliate marketing is not for the faint of heart. If you had really known how tough the competition is in affiliate marketing would you have joined the fray? It doesn’t matter. You are in the midst of it now and quitting simply is not an option for a true warrior. The only option is winning…and winning BIG!
The affiliate wars cannot and will not be won by lazy affiliate marketers. The affiliate marketing wars will be won by the aggressive strategists who are willing to work hard and long. I tend to be one of those that just gets in the trenches and grinds it out. 90% of the affiliate commissions are paid to 10% of the affiliates.
Winners
The winners of the affiliate wars are the men and women who go to the trouble and take the time to build excellent reputations as experts and as fair and honest merchants.
People buy things on the Internet from people that they feel like they know and can trust. People buy things on the Internet from affiliate marketers who have the reputation as an expert or a guru and one who actually cares about the people to whom he sells products and services to. A positive and hard working, fair–dealing reputation will help you win the daily battles and, ultimately the affiliate war.
Affiliate Marketing – How Really Competitive It Is
When you are one of many marketers who are trying to sell the very same product to the very same consumers, you had better have a plan to get at least your fair share of the market or more.
Every profitable niche market on the Internet is highly competitive. If it isn’t competitive then there can’t possibly be much of a customer base to sell to. That is just the nature of all Internet marketing and in every profitable niche.
Affiliate marketing is a lot like a football game just without the bruises and sore muscles. An affiliate marketer must design offensive plays and defensive plays that will put him in a position to win the affiliate wars.
When you watch a football game on TV, you can easily see how games are won or lost in the battle that takes place on the line of scrimmage. Offensive plays are designed to protect the quarterback and/or to open up holes in the defense so that yardage can be gained.
Defensive plays are designed to sack the quarterback or close holes that would allow yardage to be gained. Quarterbacks and coaches get the credit for wins and blame for losses but the battle is won or lost in the trenches.
Maybe you do have a long and impressive list of paid customers. That’s great! It means you have already won several of the affiliate marketing contests and come out on top. The problem is there are always those up and coming marketers who want your customers on their lists.
Your list and your competitor’s lists may well contain many of the same names and email addresses. Just having a list will not be enough to assure you of a victory when selling an affiliate product. You have to design some offensive plays that will assure that your customers buy from you and not from your competitors.
So, you ask, what is it that I can do that will assure that my customers will buy from me? The answer is just one word… unique!
You have to be unique. You have to offer something that sets you completely apart from your competitors. You have to make your offer for a product or service for which you are an affiliate more attractive to buy from you than it is to buy from you competitors.
If you simply send out a marketing email advertising a product or service that you are an affiliate marketer for, you need to remember that there are dozens or maybe even hundreds of other marketers who are sending out marketing email advertising the exact same product or service and many of them are sending them to the same people that you are. You have to do something to make sure that your customers buy from you…you have to be unique.
There are several ways to achieve uniqueness. One way is to have established yourself as an expert in the field for which the product or service is being sold. You have to have become not only visible but credible, as well. This visibility and credibility is not easily achieved. It takes a lot of hard work, time and effort.
Visibility and credibility are established by taking such measures as writing and marketing articles and E-Books, posting to blogs and forums, appearing as an expert on teleseminars and webinars, etc. The fact is that when people know you and trust you, they buy from you. They will buy from you even is your competitors are offering a better deal or more incentives.
People do not like to buy from strangers. The Internet is a big impersonal and even frightening place to many consumers. They want to feel like they know and trust the people that they buy products and services from. The time, effort and energy that you put into becoming visible and credible is the best time, effort and energy investment that you will ever make. Reputation is everything in the world of Internet marketing. Credibility makes you unique.
I look forward to football season every fall the long shadows the crispness in the air the colors. Football like fall seem to end to early alway leaving you wanting more.
The Easiest Way To Get Started Making Money From The Internet
What if I told you that you could start earning money today from the internet and you wouldn’t need your own website, your own product or service. You would think I belonged in the funny farm. But the good news is that I am 100% right.
The easiest way to make money online is via affiliate marketing. You find a product that you would like to promote, join their affiliate program and all you have to do is send targeted visitors to their website. When these prospects buy a product, you get paid a commission. You can sell practically anything you like from ebooks and ecourses right through mobile phones, golf clubs, clothes, baby products etc. The list is endless and the amount of money you can make is only limited by your dedication and perseverance.
Here is an example I use a Mac and have used Mozy Backup for years and have recommended it for years without getting paid. I didn’t know about affiliat marketing. Not any more! Mozy as with almost all companies doing business online have an affiliate program. So now I get paid every time someone signs up for Mozy though my affiliate link. Peace of Mind – Only $4.95/Month! Get Mozy Unlimited Online Backup. That’s what I call peace of mind.
I know you are probably asking yourself if it is that easy why would people pay you some of their profit to sell their products. It is simple math. For example say they were selling a $100 ebook and course on golf. If they made 10 sales, they would make $1000 but they know they can only find x number of clients a day. They decide to their affiliates $50 per sale. If they have 50 affiliates that each sell 10 courses, they would make $25,000. The affiliates are like a huge sales force finding buyers all over the world.
Affiliate marketing is a win-win situation for both parties. The product owner only pays his affiliates if they make a sale. The affiliate is very happy as he doesn’t have to produce a website, a product or write a sales page. All he has to do is drum up a crowd to visit the product website. The more people he sends, the more money he will make.
As you can pick the product you want to market, all you need to do is find a starving crowd to sell to. You want a group of people who are either desperate or in pain as both of these groups will spend cash to resolve their situation. Find a product with a decent sales page (tip: if reading it would make you buy it, you are onto a good thing!), send the visitor to this page and watch the dollars flow into your bank account.
I know – now you are wondering how will you find these visitors and advertise the sales-page?. There are a number of ways to attract these credit card holding buyers. You can try free ways such as article marketing, forum marketing, blog postings etc. You can try placing paid ads on search engines like Google, ads in ezines or on social network sites such as Facebook. If you are handy with video you can post your videos for free on Youtube and other video sharing websites. There are any number of ways you can use to start sending traffic to the product owners site.

Why I Love Affiliate Marketing – Part 5
NOTE: The following is a guest post from one of my favorite
internet marketing mentors.
Why I Love Affiliate Marketing – Part 5
By Jimmy D. Brown of “Affiliatenaire”
The word “overhead” is not a favorite among those who run
businesses of any kind. Nobody likes the expenses of
operating a business. And nobody really talks about them
much when it comes to promoting all of the “money-making”
products and services online.
But, don’t kid yourself, there’s a lot of overhead.
That brings me to the fifth reason why I love affiliate
marketing…
** You don’t need a big budget to make it work **
Do you have any idea how much money is spent running an
internet business? There are monthly fees for…
* Autoresponders
* Hosting
* Management
* Advertising
* Scripts
* Much more
There are regular fees for…
* Licensing
* Outsourcing
* Support
* Customer Service
* Maintenance
* Development
* Recruting
* Much more
It’s not uncommon to spend tens of thousands (even
hundreds of thousands) of dollars in operational
costs — which is fine if you’ve been in business
a while and are making the bucks. However, if you’re
a newcomer, it can be taxing on your budget!
SIDEBAR: I paid one girl over $30,000 last year
just to oversee one small part of my business.
No one talks much about it, but there ARE a lot
of expenses involved before you get to the
“bottom line” of profit.
BUT, with affiliate marketing, you don’t need a big
budget to make it work! You can simply use a variety
of free and low-cost marketing methods to generate
clicks to your affiliate link.
That’s why I love affiliate marketing.
You don’t need a big budget to make it work.

Why I Love Affiliate Marketing – Part 4

internet marketing mentors.
Why I Love Affiliate Marketing – Part 4
By Jimmy D. Brown of “Affiliatenaire”
I’m sure by now you are well aware that there are those who
have reported HUGE amounts of money being made with their
online businesses. What you may not be aware of is the
amount of work involved in generating those “sales” (not
always net profit, mind you … this isn’t “spendable”
income in a lot of cases.)
That brings me to the fourth reason why I love affiliate
marketing…
** You don’t need to manage an entire business **
While it can be quite lucrative, running an entire business
with employees, inventory, partners, vendors, and other
associates can be a time-sucking, frustrating ordeal.
Imagine…
* Processing refunds
* Putting out fires when partners SPAM
* Managing day-to-day operations
* Overseeing projects you’ve outsourced
* Recruting new affiliates
* Training everyone to help you
* Paying taxes
* Taking care of the paper trail
* Doing all of the “stuff” that business owners do.
Didn’t you want to start an internet business to make
more time for important things in life?
Why not make a lot of money WITHOUT making a lot of extra
work for yourself?!
It can be a lot of extra work and stress. BUT, with
affiliate marketing, you don’t need to manage an entire
business! You are simply responsible for promoting your
affiliate link… someone else handles all the rest.
That’s why I love affiliate marketing.
You don’t need to manage an entire business.

Why I Love Affiliate Marketing – Part 3
Dan Higby, eBiz Snap the following is a guest post from one of my favorite
internet marketing mentors.
Why I Love Affiliate Marketing – Part 3
By Jimmy D. Brown of “Affiliatenaire”
Some people have the ability to persuade others and talk
them into just about anything. Especially when it comes
to influencing their buying decisions. They know how to
push the right hot buttons, say things the right way and
generally get consumers into an emotional frenzy to the
point they are ready to click an order button.
There are two key words in that paragraph that really need
to stand out in your mind: “some people”.
Not everyone has this ability. In fact, only a few do.
That brings me to the third reason why I love affiliate
marketing…
** You don’t need to write a world class salesletter**
Have you ever tried to write a salesletter? There’s a
reason why professional copywriters charge up to $10,000
(and sometimes even more) for a SINGLE salesletter. It
takes a lot of experience and skill to write a top-gun
salesletter, which is why most people have a hard time
convincing people to buy if they do create their own
products and website.
They simply don’t have the right salesletter in place
to make it all work. Without good copy, it really doesn’t
matter how spectacular the offer is, you’re simply not
going to get many sales.
SIDEBAR: The average conversion rate of site visitors
who become buyers is reportedly less than 2%. That
means 98 out of every 100 do NOT buy. That’s why
sales are so incredibly bad for a poor site … you
*might* get 2 sales out of every 300-400 visitors.
BUT, with affiliate marketing, you don’t need to write a
salesletter! You simply direct people to someone else’s
high-octane salesletter for THEM to convert your leads
into commissionable sales.
That’s why I love affiliate marketing.
You don’t need to write a world class salesletter.
