Create a focused work environment

When you own a home based business you may think that you can work in front of the television, around family or in an otherwise noisy environment. This is a surefire way for lowering your productivity. You need to train yourself to create a focused work environment so you can complete the work that you need to get done. Set up a dedicated work space and surround yourself with the items and conditions that you feel most comfortable with. For example, some people need silence in order to get work done, while others prefer music. Set yourself up for success and you’ll be more able to work quickly and accomplish your goals.

Think About the Rewards and Not the Struggle of Working

Often when someone sits down to work they feel overwhelmed by what they have to accomplish. They spend so much time worrying about how much work needs to be accomplished that they work themselves into a state of fear, which can prevent any work from taking place. If you find that this happens to you, you should focus on the rewards of being finished with your work. Imagine yourself spending the rest of the day with nothing on your plate. Picture the excitement you’ll feel knowing that you’ve met your goals for the day. The more you take pleasure in getting your work done, the more you’ll be motivated to finish your work quickly.

Set Clear Goals for Yourself

Have you ever spent an afternoon trying to work on your business only to find yourself a few hours later with nothing done? It’s probably because you didn’t have a clear goal in mind of what you’d like to get accomplished. The best thing you can do in order to maintain a good work ethic is have goals. You should have long term goals (like yearly or quarterly goals), mid-range goals (per month or per week) and short term goals (daily or hourly). The more specific you can get for your goals, the better. Many people make the mistake of setting a long range goal and then not breaking it down into small steps. If you set a goal for something as little as a few hours, you’ll find yourself more motivated to work. Be sure to track your goals and reward yourself by checking off your tasks as you finish them.

How to Increase Your Affiliate Income in One Easy Step

After you get started in affiliate marketing you’ll begin to look for ways to increase your income. If you can make more money from your campaigns for the same amount of work, why wouldn’t you? There’s a simple step you can take to boost your commissions that is easy to implement and will have a big impact on how much money you make. It’s called affiliate link cloaking.

Affiliate link cloaking is a process that you can use to make sure that your recommendations are using your affiliate link. Without your affiliate link, you won’t get credit for your recommendation and you won’t see your commissions roll in. You see, affiliate links have a specific look to them. For example, http://www.moneyebook.com/=?superaff is an affiliate link. The id after the “?” is the affiliate id.

If someone is familiar with the way an affiliate link is set up, they may try to bypass the affiliate link by deleting the id after the question mark. There are many reasons why this happens. Some people just don’t feel comfortable with affiliate marketing, or they don’t want to give an affiliate their commissions. In some cases, they may try to use their own affiliate link. This is commission theft no matter how you look at it.

Whatever the reasons are, you can bypass commission theft by using an affiliate link cloaker. A cloaker will change the ugly looking affiliate link (http://www.moneyebook.com/=?superaff) and turns it into a nice unchangeable link. This way your link will look like http://www.tinyurl.com/gpto or http://www.ebizsnap.com/recommends/moneyebook.

There are many different ways that you can cloak an affiliate link in order to keep more of your commissions. If you want a simple way to cloak your affiliate link without having to install anything in your domain, you can use one of the many url minimizers available for free online. Tinyurl (http://www.tinyurl.com) and Bitly (http://www.bit.ly) will take your affiliate link and give it a short redirect link.

The only downside to this method is that once the person arrives on your affiliate link, the affiliate URL will show up in the header of the browser window. Although this a quick method to cloak your affiliate links, it can still be altered once the person arrives at the landing page. Since they can see your full affiliate link in the browser window, they can still delete your id if you really wanted to.

A much better method to cloaking your affiliate link is to create a page redirect within a domain that you own. You can either edit the htaccess file of your domain or you can create a php redirect. Alternatively, you can also use the simple instructions located here:

http://www.jamesshuggins.com/h/web1/affiliate_link_cloaker.htm

This page has step by step instructions on how to create a new page in your domain that cannot be edited. I suggest that you put all of your links in a folder entitled “recommends”. This way each link will be structured http://www.ebizsnap.com/recommends/affiliatemarketingcourse.

With affiliate link cloaking you can be sure that your affiliate commissions are going where they should be…to your account!

Victory

First and foremost, reputation counts in affiliate marketing. There are thousands of affiliate marketers out there but the ones who make the big bucks are the ones who have established high visibility and great credibility for themselves.

Establishing credibility and visibility go hand in hand and establishing both are critical to your success and your victory over your competitors.

Credibility and visibility are established in several ways. Two of the most important ways of establishing credibility and visibility are by writing and marketing articles and E-Books that relate to the products and services that you sell. You must establish yourself as an expert…a guru, if you will.
